The increasing focus and commitment to the improvement of women’s grassroots football development, culminated with Slum Soccer’s first ever Women’s National Championships.
The 3 day tournament at Slum Soccer’s center in Nagpur saw some amazing games and committed action which saw the two best teams in the tournament; the home side and the team representing the state of Tamil Nadu go head to head in the final. Nagpur which had earlier defeated Tamil Nadu in the group stages handing them their only defeat, also beat them in a breathtaking final which saw the home side finish the tournament unbeaten.
