The Corte Madera Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to oppose pending state Assembly Bill 5, known as the “Homelessness Bill” by Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco.
The bill would enact the Homeless Person’s Bill of Rights and Fairness Act, allowing homeless people to solicit donations in public spaces and requiring local governments have health and hygiene centers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for use by homeless people.
